Pink? PINK!

Pink? PINK!

Welllllllll, I'm not too sure how I feel about this card.

I mean...it's pink and stuff.

I'm not sure that the colors actually GO together either.

I like the sketch of it though. I might try the sketch again with different colors.

Basically, I used a pink cardblank and some cream colored cardstock with a bit of ribbon. (That ribbon is actually seam binding--way cool stuff to work with. Here, I used the binding as-is. I didn't dye it at all, just crumpled it.)

The background is a script stamp, stamped using Antique Linen ink. Then I stamped over that with an Agapanthus Cluster stamp, using Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage ink. I stamped it off once before I stamped the final image.

Lastly, I brushed the edges of the Top Note Die Cut with more Antique Linen and a bit of Worn Lipstick.

I should have skipped the Worn Lipstick.

I punched two holes in the Top Note and threaded the seam binding under the Top Note and around the cardblank front. Then I used 3D Dots to pop it up.

Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill (cream cardstock); Die Cuts With a View (pink cardblank)
Stamps: Inkadinkado (script #8347); Stampendous (Agapanthus Cluster)
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage, Antique Linen)
ETC: Stampin Up (Top Note Die Cut); The Sewing Place (rayon seam binding)

This card might stay in my "I'll Fix This Later" Box. Maybe it's the pink that's throwing me off. Maybe if I distress it a bit more.................
